17 Dec 09 Mandarin Language Classes

I stayed in Beijing to take up learn Mandarin classes and they were all in vain. The only thing positive with it was that I could converse with locals that use the Chinese language. I just hated the long boring hours spent inside a classroom.

Chinese will never be easy to use. I think they tried to change it to make it easier for foreigners to learn it but for regular people like me, it will never be easy no matter what. Learn Mandarin classes can only teach you so much. My vocabulary did include a few more words, but it never really developed to be a second language for me.

To go with learn Mandarin classes will usually be the first option to take. I personally thought so because I really believed that if I wanted to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese, then I should do it inside a classroom.

My time was coming to an end. Beijing was slipping away and I still haven't learned much. My tongue was just too stiff I guess. I knew they spend their hard earned money on me just to be able to attend those learn Mandarin classes and I was getting worried they'd slap the heck out of me when I go back home.

So on the fourth month of my stay in BJ(yup, that's what they call the place over there) I just lost hope from my learn Mandarin classes. Not only were they slow in progress, it also just taught me little new vocabulary. I started to browse the net and found out this site about learn Chinese easy. I was skeptical of course BUT I had no other choice because of all the internet censorship in China, you can't use YouTube for crying out loud.

I loved how fate showed me the way to it. From the internet censorship, to my decision to learn Chinese fast, to losing faith in learn Mandarin classes, to seeing the money back guarantee that covered my last couple months in Beijing until I got home. Everything fell into place and all signs pointed to that one decision to just try it.

I took it for a spin. I followed everything step by step, went out to try conversing with people and by the time I came home, I was prepared! Lucky me because my folks actually brought over a Chinese family friend just to converse with me to see if I learned anything! I was surprised at first.....I just finished a 14 hour flight after all, but when we started talking, my folks just couldn't believe it!

I'm glad I was able to share my story with you. I have told this to only a handful of people that wanted to learn the Chinese language. I always advice them to try out learn Mandarin classes but tell them if they really want to learn Chinese fast, and cheap and with no risk, then all they have to do is visit this site where they could learn Chinese fast.
