03 Dec 11 Sony Headphones – Custom Headphones Review

Cost is about four times what my Grados cost, and even a few times more than some of the less expensive Sennheiser models. The manufacturer commented on the review below.

I can live with that when watching TV, and it certainly is "same difference" when consuming audio-only sources. Brief dropouts can occur when my microwave oven is on and I happen to pass within 2' of it. The Sennheiser RS 180 is a solid performing unit thus far. It charges simply and easily.

So far I have gone a few rooms nearby. They are just crystal clear all the time. You will venture forth into a new world of audio pleasure. If the Sennheiser RS-180 was a painting it would be a masterpiece by Kandinsky or Dali; a sculpture, La Pieta via Michelangelo, a song, something by Lennon & McCartney. So, that's probably an unavoidable issue. However, all my complaints combined don't add up to the loss of a full star.

But, to be fair, there are a couple walls and partially a refrigerator between the headphones and the transmitter. I can listen to them upstairs, the signal going through the floor, no problem.

Virtual surround sound makes you feel like you're at the movies. You never have to worry about dead batteries, they come with rechargeable batteries & the base where you store your head phones is a recharging station.

And if you don't want to spend a fortune for 7.1 surround sound, this might be an excellent option. The only downside is they can get a little warm (would not exercise with them on, for instance). The product is fine, except for the select bottoms. They are hard to find, because they are even with the earpiece and one has to search for the right one. After shopping around for a new pair I finally decided to give the wireless a try. I really did not want to waste a bunch of money for a lesser model so I went all in with the RS 180's and I am truly amazed.

I finally ended up with the Blu ray of Transformers. Now again I have to mention that my Sony receiver was found lacking.

But day to day, incredible range and quality (I live in a townhouse and I can go between floors). It's much better than my older RS130. I used these to replace a set of Sennheiser RS 140 wireless headphones. Unlike the 140, the 180 are digital -- no static or white noise.

I usually use them both at home and at the office. For the extremely modest price they rate 3 stars. WIRELESS VOIP HEADSET. It was then my conclusion that I must get a good wired headset, however without breaking the bank. It has been about a month now and I am happy with this particular set of kids headphones.
